When a patient chats with the interface, the model reads each text entry and isolates mentions of emotional distress. It links these events together like cars on a train track, showing which memory pulls the rest of the reaction along. The software then anchors every single connection directly to the exact phrase spoken during the conversation. This anchor preserves an audit trail that doctors can inspect directly without guessing why the software drew a connection.
Researchers tested the framework on eleven people diagnosed with posttraumatic stress disorder who held daily conversations over three weeks. The team gathered one thousand six hundred twenty-nine interactions across conversational sessions, momentary mobile check-ins, and standard causal surveys. The system accurately identified trauma triggers as starting points and matched patient-reported symptom structures better than conventional correlational models.
